MARKO MAMULA

The founder of X-Crafts

Marko is the founder of X-Crafts. Although living in London UK, he is half Czech, half Serbian, and born in Italy.

His journey began at 18, driven by a passion for flight simulation and aircraft creation. Despite earning a mechanical engineering degree, and a Master' in Visual Effects for films, neither could match the creativity or passion he felt for X-Plane. In 2019, he took the plunge, dedicating himself entirely to X-Crafts.

Marko manages the team and handles all principal aircraft development in X-Plane as well as all 3D modeling, instrumentation, textures, and anything and everything in between, from creating tutorials to sharing the behind-the-scenes of X-Plane development in the Not-A-Newsletter.

Apart from Flight Sims, Marko is a passionate world explorer, filmmaker, photographer. Find out more at markomamula.com.

STEVE WILSON

The creative mastermind behind our software magic

Steve has been an active flight simulation enthusiast for over 20 years, and began working as a freelance software developer in 2007, supporting the development of a new MFD for the Aero L-159 ALCA, creating an interface plugin with X-Plane 9.  Since that initial experience, he has worked with several commercial aviation establishments and add-on development teams. His first major creation for X-Crafts was the Tekton Flight Management System, which has continued to grow and improve in response to user reactions.

Steve handles all software development for X-Crafts as well as updater automation, DRM management and first line tech support.  He has degrees in both Business Administration and Computer Aided Design, and resides in Tucson, Arizona, USA. When not buried in Microsoft Visual Studio, Steve can be found working on or flying in his full-size physical flight sim cockpit.

TODD FLECK | Sound engineer

All the sounds for all our products have been created by Todd Fleck. For the E-Jets Family, Todd has rebuilt his original E-Jets FMOD from the ground up to get a truly immersive audio experience for the new E-Jets Family. Our real-world pilots have really praised his work so far, which is great because this is really something only real pilots can judge.

CAMERON GARNER | Aerodynamics

Cameron Garner, a well-known X-Plane veteran, and a moderator at X-Plane.org, is responsible for the flight models. He has really tried to match the real performance and flight characteristics of the E-Jets as closely as possible. These have all been tested and approved by our team of real-world pilots!

Todor radonov | software developer

Todor is one of our new developers. He joined us in 2023, first developing the Steep Approach System for the E-Jets, and he is now working on the ERJ Family v2 for X-Plane 12.

Julia De Mille | software developer

Julia joined us in 2024 to further improve the autopilot capabilities of the E-Jet Family. Her first project was developing the ILS Autotune and we’re excited to see what she will develop next!

LIVERY PAINTERS

We are also collaborating with a couple of very talented livery painters that are creating over forty liveries that will be ready on release. Let’s not forget all our beta testers who tirelessly test our products and who make us aware of any shortcomings.

REAL WORLD Pilots & Beta testers

In addition to that, there are dozens of real-world pilots whose additional feedback allows us to reach greater precision in the simulation, as well as many beta testers all around the world who test all our software before we release it, and who are directly responsible for the high reliability of our products.

Our Future Projects:

Development Roadmap

You might be wondering what the future holds for X-Crafts. While the possibilities are endless, our ultimate goal is to be great, not big. We want to be a fine‑dining restaurant with a smaller menu, rather than a fast food chain. That way we will be able to guarantee that every item on the menu will be great. With that said, let’s have a look at what we have planned right now.

Lineage 1000

We are working on adding the fifth member of the E-Jets Family into the product line.

The Lineage 1000 is a business jet version of the E190, with a luxury cabin, and an extended range, allowing you to cross oceans!

All owners of the full E-Jets Family will receive the Lineage 1000 for free as part of a future update.

ERJ Family v2

Once the E-Jets Family is updated to a very stable version, we are planning to start working on the ERJ Family v2.

This update will bring an authentic FMS, a high-resolution authentic Nav Map, a brand new flight model, improved systems, and full compatibility with X-Plane 12.

Due to all the time and resources invested into adding all of these features, the ERJ Family v2 will be a paid upgrade for existing customers of the ERJ v1.

E-Jets E2 Family

Many people ask us if we will also develop the new E2 variants of the E-Jets. Possibly, but not anytime soon.

Right now, we want to focus on improving the E-Jets E1 and ERJs as much as possible. We want to always be able to provide the most authentic experience of flying these jets and there are many areas in which we can still get better. So that is the plan for the next few years.
